On several occasions the fabric lip around the Taco's opening caught the edge of an empty mag being reinserted, so I found myself having to look down and "spreading" the mouth open more deliberately to reinsert. The Taco pistol mag does not have this lip, which for pistol mags can make it a bit more trouble to reinsert an empty magazine.

While both are very similar overall, the G Code has a little bit of a flared lip around the opening that makes it easy to insert magazines and I see that their pistol mags are the same. And while I only have an HSGI Taco double pistol mag and a single G Code soft scorpion short rifle mag next to each other on my belt, I do have an observation about the two designs overall and why I will likely replace the Taco at some point in the future with an equivalent Scorpion.
